KEVIN VIDANA-BARDA - Head Coach

2008 marks Coach Barda’s 11th year as the Head Cross Country Coach at VVC. In that time he has coached multiple conference champions and qualified runners to the state every year. He has found homes for his athletes at Universities in different states, including Kansas, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii. Coach Barda is a USATF Level 1 certified coach. He competed for Grand Canyon University where he was named to NCAA All-Conference and All-Region teams in cross country. After college he attempted to qualify for the US Marathon Olympic Trials where he missed the qualifying mark by 1:06 running 2:23:06. Coach Barda still competes in cross country, track and field, and road races. He is a member of the Fluffy Bunny Track Club, the 2007 USATF Cross Country Club Masters Team Champions.

GLORIA GOMEZ - Assistant Coach

Coach Gomez is a VVC Alumnus (1999 & 2001). She was part of the 2001 Foothill Conference Championship Team. She then transferred to George Fox University and then to University of LaVerne where she was a top three XC runner on both squads. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Spanish Studies.
